A brief description of Phi Beta Sigma's youth mentoring group

In 1950, Phi Beta Sigma became the first Greek organization to develop a youth auxiliary group. Dr. Parlett L. Moore, National Director of Education, in recognition of the important role that Sigma men could play in the lives of our youth, directed the formation of the Sigma Beta Club.

The Sigma Beta Club continues to offer Sigma men the opportunity to develop wholesome values, leadership skills, and social and cultural awareness of youth at their most critical developmental stage. For many chapters, the Sigma Beta
